Help Shape Our New Menstrual Health Policy
In partnership with Health and Wellbeing colleagues, the Women’s Staff Network is aiming to help create a policy that results in a more inclusive, supportive workplace where menstrual health is understood, respected, and appropriately supported.
Why this matters
Menstrual health can have a significant impact on wellbeing, comfort at work, and overall equality. Yet for many colleagues, it remains a topic that is overlooked or difficult to talk about.
By developing a dedicated policy, we aim to:
- Promote open, stigma-free conversations about menstrual health
- Ensure colleagues feel supported at work, including during challenging symptoms such as pain, fatigue, or perimenopause-related changes
- Improve equity and inclusion, recognising that menstrual health affects a wide range of colleagues
- Provide clear guidance for managers on how best to support their teams
- Align with our commitment to staff wellbeing and compassionate leadership.
Creating a supportive culture around menstrual health is both a wellbeing and equality issue and an important step towards creating the best possible working environment for everyone.
Get involved
We want to hear from colleagues across all roles, backgrounds, and experiences. We are interested to understand the different perspective of and impact of working in different settings particularly those colleagues working in secure environments.
You can get involved by:
- Sharing your experiences or suggestions
- Reviewing draft proposals.
Your input will help shape a policy that truly reflects the needs of our workforce.
