Mersey Cares December Diary Dates!
December has arrived in a flurry of twinkling lights and festive cheer, and it’s a busy season with so much going on at our charity, Mersey Cares. As we head into the countdown to Christmas, there’s plenty happening across the charity to keep spirits bright. Below you’ll find some key December dates and activities—from our Secret Santa Appeal and the Liverpool Santa Dash to our first-ever Staff Christmas Socks Day and even some FREE festive origami to add a little seasonal sparkle to your day.
Mersey Cares Secret Santa Appeal
Help us support children and young people accessing our services with a Christmas gift. Many are facing challenging circumstances and may not otherwise receive a gift, so your kindness really will make a difference.
- Last date to choose a gift from our Amazon Wishlist is Monday, 8 December (so be quick if you’d like to give a gift to a child accessing our services).
- If you miss this date – don’t worry! You can still make a monetary contribution to our Secret Santa Fund beyond this date.

Liverpool Santa Dash (7 December)
While online entries are now closed, you can still register your team and collect your Santa suits at the Santa Dash shop in St Johns Centre until Saturday 6 December. Join #TeamMerseyCares and help us raise funds to support our services.
Christmas Socks Day (11 December)
Gather your team and step into Christmas with your best festive feet #TeamMerseyCare.
Charity Network Meeting (4 December)

Festive Origami for Wellbeing (11 December at 12.30)

Run Aintree (14 December)
