    World Antimicrobial Resistance Awareness Week

    World AMR Awareness Week (WAAW) is a global campaign that is celebrated annually to improve awareness and understanding of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and encourage best practices among the public,  stakeholders and policymakers, who all play a critical role in reducing the further emergence and spread of AMR. The theme for the World AMR Awareness Week (WAAW) 2024 is “Educate. Advocate. Act now” and is a call to the global community to educate stakeholders on AMR, advocate for bold commitments and take concrete actions in response to AMR.

    Training sessions on how to implement PURPOSE-T

    The Tissue Viability Nurses are arranging two further sessions on how to implement PURPOSE-T (Pressure Ulcer Risk Primary or Secondary Evaluation Tool), which is available to all staff across the Trust. Tissue Viability Nurses will be discussing the changes and the roll out of the new pressure ulcer categories which involve the removal of the term ‘Deep Tissue Injury’ (DTI) and  ‘unstageable pressure ulcer’.

    NHS Staff Survey – final incentives!

    It’s fantastic that we have already achieved last year’s final Staff Survey response rate of 39% - thank you to everyone who has completed so far! We still have time to make sure our results are reflective of everyone as the Survey remains open until 5pm on Friday, 29 November.
