The data captured between 12 to 18 December highlights how some of our Trust services are helping to alleviate the ongoing system pressures. The performance data for this period covers our triage cars, urgent treatment and walk-in centres, urgent community response teams, and mental health teams.

In 2022 our work towards our Perfect Care goal of "Zero acceptance of racism, discrimination, and unacceptable behaviours from and toward our workforce and our patients/service users, carers and families" began.

GP Connect is integrated with all major GP software providers. It routes requests to the GP system, based on the patient's registered GP. A link from Rio to Primary Care records is being implemented using GP Connect, a national NHSE owned solution. This will enable clinical staff to access their patients’ primary care records in real time without needing to login to another system or search for their patient.

The Trust acknowledges the increased need for capacity to manage staffing gaps and the increased demand over the holiday period.

Flu cases in hospitals has jumped 41% in a week. The latest NHS figures show an average of 2,629 flu patients were in beds in England each day last week. While these infections can be a nasty inconvenience to most of us, they can be life threatening to others.
