    Pre-election guidance for NHS organisations, Spring 2026

    Council elections will take place in Sefton, Knowsley, St Helens and Halton on Thursday, 7 May, and NHS England has shared the latest pre-election guidance. Here you will find more detail, and some key considerations. Our external communications activities necessary for operational delivery purposes will continue as usual. It’s important during this period that the NHS must act and be seen to act with political impartiality and our resources should not be used for party political purposes.

    Allocate SafeCare

    Amendment to bank payroll deadline 2026 to 2027

    Due to bank holidays throughout the year and occasions where Bank and Monthly payroll periods overlap, the payroll deadline for Bank shifts has been amended to ensure a smooth payroll process.

    New study shows powerful results for women after birth trauma

    27 February 2026

    A paper by Katie Fox, Rebecca Griffiths Harte, Allison Pilling and Rebecca Hunter from our Maternal Mental Health Service (MMHS) shows our trauma focused MMHS group significantly reduces psychological distress and birth related PTSD symptoms. The evaluation was published in the Journal of Reproductive and Infant Psychology on 26 February 2026.
