Bank and Agency Colleagues: Do you currently record supportive observations on Rio?
If so, there is now a requirement for you to have your own smartcard to ensure you have access to Rio eObservations.
HCA colleagues who have worked shifts on the following wards are currently being prioritised:-
- Allerton and Childwall wards - Rathbone Hospital
- Kingsley, Sheridan and Austen wards - Hollins Park
- Brunswick, Albert and Harrington wards - Broadoak Unit
- Chesterton, Marlowe and Tennyson units.
Hollins ParkInformatics Merseyside will contact you to start this process. If you do not have a smartcard, you will be asked to complete an application using NHS England’s ‘Apply for Care ID.’ Please complete this application promptly as the link will expire after three days. An example email is provided below so you know what to expect.
If you currently have a smartcard, please check that it works. You can do this by placing your card in a card reader and when prompted to, enter your passcode. System access doesn’t need to be checked at this point as remote checks and configuration plans are in progress. If you have any problems, please report them to the ward leadership team in the first instance.
Please regularly check on your work and/or personal email accounts, including spam folders. You may also be contacted on your mobile phone number. If you have any queries, please speak with the ward or deputy manager.
