Busy bank holiday weekend in Liverpool – Travel disruption expected
Liverpool is set for a busy bank holiday weekend with several large scale events taking place across the city, which are expected to cause significant travel disruption from Friday 24 to Monday 27 May.
What’s happening:

🎶 BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend (Sefton Park from 24 to 26 May) Expect local road closures and no parking around the park area. Shuttle buses are in place for eventgoers.

🏆 Liverpool FC Victory Parade (Citywide on Monday 26 May) The open top bus parade starts from 2.30pm from Allerton Maze and ends at The Strand. Major roads and some Merseyrail stations will be closed for part of the day.

🚢 Cunard’s Queen Anne Cruise Ship visit (Waterfront on 26 May and 27 May) The new flagship will dock at Liverpool Cruise Terminal, attracting large crowds along the waterfront, particularly around the time of the football parade.
