Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital is pleased to announce the appointment of James Sumner as its new shared Chief Executive. James will assume joint leadership responsibilities at LHCH from 1st April 2025, alongside his role as Chief Executive of NHS University Hospitals of Liverpool Group (UHLG).  

This Nutrition and Hydration Week (17 to 21 March 2025), our Dietitians and Speech and Language Therapists will be delivering a series of CPD Sessions via Microsoft Teams to tell you about the important work which we do to support our patients.

Our Long COVID Service will no longer receive national funding and will close from 1 April 2025.

The data captured between 13 to 19 February highlights how some of our Trust services are helping to alleviate ongoing system pressures. Performance data for this period covers Longmoor House, mental health teams, urgent community response teams and Core 24 teams.

This year’s International Nurses’ Day celebration will take place on Friday, 9 May at Aintree Racecourse, Earl of Derby Grandstand, Golden Miller Suite.
