    Let’s talk about race and racism: a culturally safe reflective space

    From August, we will be working with Nafsiyat Intercultural Therapy Centre to sessions 'Let’s talk about race and racism: a culturally safe reflective space' support to staff in the Trust. Support will involve 1:1 sessions and group reflective practice sessions.

    Aspen Wood opening to service users

    Our new low secure service Aspen Wood, received its first service users this week.The 40 bed learning disability site on Maghull Health Park was completed on time and budget late last year. Following a period of staff training it is now fully operational.

    The Estates Planning Team (EPT) is conducting a Trust wide space utilisation study. As part of this programme of activity, we will initially be conducting utilisation studies on buildings where there is no patient and service users contact.

    Mental Health Digital Research Centre

    Last week, Liverpool City Region Combined Authority published their plans for the Investment Zone and the projects seeking funds. Mersey Care has bid for funding to redevelop the former HMP Kennet site at Maghull Health Park as an international centre of excellence for mental health.

    Free haircuts and mental health information at Safe Space pop-up

    We have teamed up with The Lions Barber Collective to run a free hairdressing and mental health event on Thursday 28 March between 8:30am and 1pm at The Blue Base in Walton.
