    Knowsley Anticoagulation Service Transfer 1 September 2024

    From 1 September 2024, Knowsley’s anticoagulation (warfarin) service will no longer be provided by Mersey Care’s Medicines Management Team. The new provider will be Millbrook Medical Centre who can be contacted on 0151 244 4404 or by emailing: mmc.anticoag@knowsleyccg.nhs.uk

    Introduction to the new pressure ulcer policy

    Cheshire and Mersey Pressure Ulcer Steering Group have developed a new policy to align to National Wound Care Strategy Programme (NWCSP) guidance which includes changes to the current categorisation of pressure ulcers on 1 August 2024. There are two information sessions to introduce to the new pressure ulcer policy.

    Switch Island and M57 night closures

    The M57 will be closed between 27 and 31 August from 8pm to 5am (extended to 7am on weekends) in both directions from junction 6 to Switch Island (this is between junction 6 and Spencer Lane near Kirkby).
