Zero Suicide Alliance, a Mersey Care hosted initiative, launched its updated ZSA Suicide Awareness Training on World Suicide Prevention Day (WSPD) with over 5,000 people taking the training in the first two days. ZSA also held a webinar on Monday with over 550 people registering for the event.

In July 2024, the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care commissioned Lord Darzi to conduct an immediate and independent investigation of the NHS.

As part of the Trust wide leg ulcer harm free there have been changes implemented to the lower leg templates on EMIS. Tissue Viability Nurses will be discussing the changes and the roll out of the EQ-5D-5L and Goal based outcomes. The EQ-5D-5L is a standardised measure of health related quality of life patient reported outcome measure.

Managers must review all declarations made by their staff, and where appropriate, include management actions on the declaration record, for example, any mitigating actions to make sure any potential conflicts are managed appropriately or avoided.
