Line managers have the ability, via ESR, to view declarations made by their staff and create management actions were required. Each month managers receive a Conflict of Interest notification on ESR which contains an overview of the declarations made by their staff. The manager notification will only be sent where there is at least one assignment with additional or changes to their declarations that month.

Managers must review all declarations made by their staff, and where appropriate, include management actions on the declaration record, for example, any mitigating actions to make sure any potential conflicts are managed appropriately or avoided. This is to make sure that any potential conflicts of interest are identified, addressed, and do not compromise the integrity or impartiality of decisions made by the staff or the organisation.
