We’re proud and humbled by the resilience that you’ve shown in very difficult times.

  • Katie Taylor, Head of Nursing leaves after 22 years

    Katie has been at Mersey Care for 22 years, with a vast range of experience and roles specifically addictions and community mental health. Katie will be missed by all teams, peers and colleagues and we wish her well within her new role in the voluntary sector.

  • Topping time at the new Mossley Hill

    26 July 2024

    Our new 80 bed mental healthcare site in Mossley Hill is now just 200 days from completion, with its roof on and interior works progressing. To mark this, Trust leads went on site this week for a ‘topping out’ ceremony. Trish Bennett, our CEO designate, toured the works and said: “It’s looking fantastic, there’s really great progress being made.”

  • We need help from all staff in Mental Health Care Division

    Following on from learning from incidents, there was an online session recently on management and support for patients presenting with psychosis. A task group has been set up to look at pathways, provision and processes which will result in multiple working groups looking at how we continue to do what’s working and improve what isn’t, to make things safer for our patients.

  • Chief Nursing Officer from Ministry of Health, Uganda, visits the Trust

    Agnes Chandia Baku, Chief Nursing Officer from Ministry of Health, Uganda, was welcomed to the Trust on 15 July by Jenny Hurst, Deputy Director of Nursing and Sandra O’Hear, Deputy Nurse Strategic Lead for Safeguarding. The visit was initiated by Justine Kigozi Nakimuli Odwongo, Freedom to Speak Up Guardian and Cultural Sensitivity Lead.
