Over the coming weeks, the safe staffing boards displayed on all our wards will be replaced. The updated boards reflect our new leadership arrangements and include photographs of Trish Bennett, Chief Executive Officer, Noir Thomas, Chief Medical Officer and Jenny Hurst, Chief Nurse.

Data captured between 27 February to 5 March highlights how some of our Trust services are helping to alleviate ongoing system pressures. Performance data for this period covers urgent community response, Core 24, mental health and Longmoor House.

Last year NHS Cheshire and Merseyside launched a two year Dental Improvement Plan to help tackle some of the challenges currently facing NHS dental care, a review of the plan can be found below.

Irish heritage is deeply rooted in Liverpool and the North West, with 31% of those over 65 identifying as White Irish in Liverpool (ONS 2021). Ahead of St Patrick’s Day, a webinar on 13 March from 10am to 1pm which will focus on raising awareness about Irish Traveller communities and the work of Irish Community Care (ICC).

We’d like to celebrate the news of our wonderful FOI (Freedom of Information) Team, Gio Cerisola (Information Access Manager), Anne Massam and Hannah Smyth (Freedom of Information Officers), recently winning the eCase FOI Team of the Year 2025 Award. The team provides support to the Trust (Mersey Care) and IM.
