NHS 10 Year Plan

The Government's 10 Year Health Plan for England has been launched, setting out a bold, ambitious and necessary new course for the NHS. The plan fundamentally reinvents our approach to healthcare so that we can guarantee the NHS will be there for all who need it for generations to come. It has been shaped by the experiences and expectations of members of the public, patients, our partners and health and care workforce across the country, reflecting the changes that people wanted to see.

New Perinatal Mental Health Birth Trauma course
7 July 2025
Three new learning modules are available for all those who support patients who have experienced trauma, suitable for you if you support patients or work with families who may have had a traumatic birth experience. The training is an introduction to the symptoms of birth trauma, postnatal PTSD and outlines the screening tools that are available.

Mersey Care staff mark 77 years of NHS by hosting Big Tea parties
4 July 2025
To celebrate the NHS’ 77 anniversary, more than 30 teams across the Trust have been hosting NHS Big Tea events raising funds to support our charity, Mersey Cares. Big thanks to School Health Team 3, Liverpool and Warrington Later Life and Memory Service who both celebrated, holding Big Tea events this week; including tea, pastries, and cakes and fun activities.

Measles cases prompt MMR vaccine call
4 July 2025
UKHSA has reported an increase in measles across the country and is encouraging people to check that they and their children have had two doses of the MMR vaccine. Occupational Health have also been undertaking a measles recall programme over the last two years, checking staff status and offering MMR vaccination or serology to ensure you are protected.
