The new Empactis System has now started to rollout, beginning last week with the Health Manager module. This now allows management referrals to be submitted through the system. In the coming weeks the other Occupational Health processes will become available.

Later in the year the Absence Manager module will go live Trustwide. This will allow staff to report unplanned absences via a new 24 hour phone line.  The system will alert the individual’s manager that their team member has called in absent to allow contingency planning to be put in place. 

For the Health Manager and Absence Manager module to work correctly it’s very important that the supervisor hierarchy is correct in ESR, if the hierarchy isn’t correct:

  • managers won’t be able to raise Occupational Health Referrals for their staff
  • managers won’t get informed when their staff call in absent (once the Absence Manager module is launched).

Important note for former Mid Mersey Managers

As previously communicated, we will no longer have access to the Cohort system from 31 July 2022.  The system will be fully decommissioned on this date, this will include the Cohort Portal.  So if you have previously used this portal you will no longer be able to submit a management referral via this route and you will no longer have access to previously received reports from Occupational Health.  

Going forward all Management Referrals will need to be created and submitted using the Empactis.
