It is the Trust’s expectation that colleagues take all of their annual leave, where possible, and only where service need has meant you’ve been unable to take leave will the below apply.

Approval may be given for the carry over of up to 75 hours (10 days) outstanding annual leave into 2023/2024 (pro rata for part time colleagues). 

This process is open to colleagues across the Trust who have not been able to take their leave due to service need. 

In order to process these requests, from 1 March 2023 we are re-instating the form on YourSpace in YourHR, Employee Lifecycle, with a new icon as below, for carry over of annual leave.

This must initially be completed by you as the colleague making the request for carry over of annual leave. Your request must be submitted no later than close of play on 19 March 2023 - anything after this date may not be processed.

Your request will be sent to the senior approving managers for your division/department and will be managers such as associate director of strategic operations/deputy divisional directors/divisional directors for clinical divisions and director/senior manager for corporate services for review and will be approved or declined. This must be completed by close of play on 26 March 2023. Any applications submitted outside of these timescales will not be processed for approval.
