The variety of modules that will be studied during you time on the course, will be directly related too the environment that you are working within. These modules are as follows: 

• Safeguarding and protection in care settings
• Responsibilities of a care worker
• Support independence in the tasks of daily living
• Contribute to monitoring the health of individuals affected by health conditions
• Principles of Health Promotion
• Support individuals to eat and drink
• Contribute to the care of a deceased person
• Undertake agreed pressure area care
• Support individuals to carry out their own health care procedures
• Provide support for leisure activities
• Support individuals to meet personal care needs
• Move and position individuals in accordance with their care plan

Please note – Specific pathways for this qualification have been created for AHP and Children’s services.  If you are associated with these services please get in touch with the Apprenticeship team to discussion options.   

• Aged 16+
• You must be employed within a relevant environment and provide evidence that you have the skills, knowledge and behaviours required by the sector at Level 2.
• You must demonstrate Maths and English skills at Level 1 or above in your initial Maths and English assessment.

Please note: To gain access to this course you will need to go through a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. If you have criminal convictions or cautions, please do not be put off from applying for the course. Your acceptance on to the course will depend on the nature of any convictions and will be at the discretion of the College and your placement provider.

INFORMATION COMING SOON 

Once you have completed the Levy Application form and submit this to the Apprenticeship team.  This will then be sent to Work force Development, training and Education Group for funding approval. Once approval has been given you details will be submitted to the apprenitceship provider. 

With this employer  confirmation the provider will issue an application pack to interested applicants which includes the necessary forms and guidance. The application form enables the provider to build up a picture of the candidate, their experience and the knowledge and skill areas they are looking to develop. 

Levy applications to be submitted by the end of each month for approval in the following month.  EOI Deadline for September cohort 31st August 2023.
