The Trust has updated the HR07 Supporting Health & Wellbeing (Attendance) Policy to ensure that management of absence is timely, proactive and supportive. This is a key enabler to reducing absence across the Trust and supporting staff to be well at work. It will align the Occupational Health processes to the current practice. The changes document attached shows all the changes made to this interim policy.
We will be updating again shortly with further agreed changes to the policy which have been signed off through HR Policy Group. This will amend the timeframe for return-to-work discussions and stages of the policy. We will confirm when those changes will be implemented as we have to make the changes to the Empactis system to ensure there is alignment with the policy.
Please familiarise yourself with Version 15 of the policy to ensure processes are followed correctly. Managers should discuss these changes with their teams during local meetings, huddles or supervision.
