You will soon receive your invite to take part in this year’s NHS Staff Survey, and we urge you to complete the survey as fully and frankly as you can.
We are immensely proud of the outstanding work that happens across this organisation every day. We know our people consistently go above and beyond to support our patients, and each other. Everyone plays an important part. Learning is at the core of our culture and by taking part in the Staff Survey, you are giving valuable feedback that will help us to continue to improve things for staff, patients, service users, and the communities we serve.
We want to hear from you so that our survey results reflect the experience of everyone who works here. The survey is open from 1 October until 28 November.
Voices Heard, Actions Taken
Your feedback really does make a difference.
Over the last 12 months, here are just some of the things influenced by staff feedback:
- Carers Network: Colleagues with caring responsibilities told us a Carers Network would help increase connection and support, as well as enhance the provision of support to other staff carers across the Trust. This Network has been set up, and you can find out more information on YourSpace.
- YourInsights: You told us that accessing multiple systems is time consuming and inefficient. We have launched YourInsights, which pulls reports from different Trust systems into once place, helping you to access data without having to use numerous systems.
- Space for patients and teams: You told us that finding space can be challenging. We have expanded our Trust’s room booking system so there are now 27 sites live with 79 meeting rooms available to book (up from 14 sites and 53 rooms this time last year). Five multipurpose rooms and 27 clinic rooms are also now available.
- Career progression: You told us that you want parity in career progression, particularly amongst our multi-ethnic colleagues. We have introduced a new leadership programme for aspiring leaders and are reviewing our CPD application approval process as we strive to embed equity for all.
The majority of staff will be sent their survey by email. Please look out for an email from NHSSTAFFSURVEY
Please be reassured that no one from our organisation, or the NHS, will be able to see your survey or be able to identify individual responses. All responses to the survey are strictly confidential and will be handled by our Staff Survey provider, IQVIA, on behalf of Mersey Care.
As a gesture of thanks for taking the time to complete the Staff Survey, we will be asking IQVIA to randomly select consenting individuals in a prize draw as well as offering some team based awards. Full details are on YourSpace. Some of the items available include:
