Cohort 4 Student Feedback

‘Couldn’t recommend this course more. Probably should be mandatory training! Provides essential knowledge and skills in working in a psychologically informed manner. Great course and great teaching too. The support was invaluable’.

Russell Grugel - Community Mental Health Nurse

‘I have enhanced my skills as a nurse practitioner within EIT through this course, having used the knowledge and skills gained to be able to conduct level 1 formulation and implement psychotherapeutic work with my service users.  The course and skills acquired then inspired me to apply for the trainee CBT Therapist role within EIT and I was awarded the position’.

Karen Vernon - Trainee CBT Therapist EIT

‘I have enjoyed the PG Cert in Psychological Interventions greatly- it really sparked immense enthusiasm and it has enriched my practice as an older adult CMHN greatly. My practice is enhanced and I feel confident in terms of safe delivery of psychological approaches that have and continue to provide positive outcomes for the patients that I work with. I highly recommend the course and Julie is absolute fantastic and I cannot thank her and my clinical supervisor enough for providing me with this wonderful experience that is very relevant to my practice within Complex Care’.

Victoria Wareing, Community Mental Health Nurse

‘I really enjoyed the course, although I found it hard at times, I feel that I have learnt so many skills to enhance my work with patient’s experiencing difficulties with their mental health. I was feeling frustrated that I was limited on the interventions I could offer but now I have the skills to offer a more holistic approach. I’m really glad that I completed the course.’

Jane Hargreaves – Perinatal Mental Health Practitioner* (CMHT practitioner at start of programme)

‘I have thoroughly enjoyed this course and found it challenging but very rewarding. I feel more confident as an EIT practitioner and have improved my skills in Level one formulation. I have seen improvement in the outcomes with some of my service users who are now able formulate themselves and have learned new coping strategies because of the additional skills I now have. I would highly recommend this course if you wanted to improve your service user outcomes and upskill your assessment, formulation, and intervention skills’.
