We often say that staff are the most important asset of our trust. It’s so true. We can’t treat patients and support service users without staff in post and doing their jobs. That’s why we want to see as many of you as possible protected from this coming winter from those respiratory viruses that are circulating including flu and covid.
In the next few weeks, our vaccination centre in Maghull will be back in action and our team will also be holding clinics at the vaccination centre and in key locations around the trust. This will make it even easier for you all to access vaccines this year. Appointments will be made available on Simply Book.
The Bivalent Covid booster will be available for staff from 12 September onward and flu vaccines from late September.
If you’re needing a Covid vaccine primary course, you will need to contact the vaccination centre for an appointment and they will arrange for the appropriate vaccine to be available
There are serious concerns about the spread of flu this year. So we want a strong uptake of the vaccination to protect each other and our patients.
Please, if you’ve hesitated in the past, make this the year to have that protection. Our vaccinators have a wealth of experience in supporting individuals who have concerns about needles – last year we offered bespoke appointments to a number of staff at the vaccination centre and ensured the experience was quieter, easier and less intimidating.
Full details of the campaign will be issued in the weeks ahead. If you have any questions, the latest guidance, along with risk assessments and further COVID-19 SOPs, can be found on YourSpace.
Let’s all come together on this – thank you.
