A message from Trish Bennett, CEO, Sean Leahy, People and Culture Officer (Interim) and Ian Raven, Staff Side Chair.
We’re well into this year’s NHS Staff Survey and it’s promising to see that over 4000 people have already given their feedback, but this also means that almost 7,500 colleagues have not yet used this opportunity to share their views.
There is now just over a week until the survey closes. We want to hear from you so that our survey results reflect the experience of everyone who works here.
Your feedback matters now more than ever. As the national financial picture impacts Mersey Care and other NHS Trusts, we recognise the effect this has on colleagues. It’s vital we continue to look after ourselves and each other. Your feedback is critical to helping us understand how we do this.
The final email reminders have been sent on Wednesday, 19 November and we urge you to take this opportunity to complete the survey as fully and frankly as you can. Your valuable feedback will ensure that we continue to improve things for staff, patients, service users and the communities we serve.
The majority of staff will be sent their survey by email from NHSSTAFFSURVEY
Please be reassured that no one from our organisation, or the NHS, will be able to see your survey or be able to identify individual responses. All responses to the survey are strictly confidential and will be handled by our Staff Survey provider, IQVIA, on behalf of Mersey Care.
As a gesture of thanks for taking the time to complete the Staff Survey, we are asking IQVIA to randomly select consenting individuals in a prize draw. There will be a £50 shopping voucher winner in each division, alongside one Bank winner. We also have an additional £50 voucher draw for colleagues working in Band 1 to 4 roles, to try and encourage further survey uptake amongst this staff group.
Congratulations to those who have been recognised already. There are some teams across our Trust with fantastic survey response rates. Domestic Services in Sefton, for example, have a response rate of 100%. And the First Response Hub at Clock View had an increase of 46% in their response rate last week, which shows what a concerted effort by a team can achieve in a short space of time. You can see details of our 2025 prize winners in the prize draw section of our Staff Survey YourSpace page.
Should you have any questions about the NHS Staff Survey, we will be holding our final drop-in sessions where you can ask us anything on Wednesday, 26 November (MS Teams) and Thursday, 27 November (Hollins Park Library).
Visit the drop in sessions section of our YourSpace page for full details. If you require reasonable adjustments to support completion, or believe you have not received a survey when you should have done, you can contact OrganisationalEffectiveness
Thank you for taking the time to let us know what you think.
