This Resuscitation Policy provides Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust with the Quality Standards for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation practice and training. The standards cover inpatient and community settings that deliver health care for adults of all ages, adolescents or children

This procedure is to ensure the legal requirements of the Medicines Act 1968, the Misuse of Drugs Act 1973, the Misuse of Drugs regulations 2001, The Health Act 2006 and the Controlled Drugs (Supervision of Management and Use) (2013) Regulations in terms of prescribing and managing CDs are complied with while ensuring that patients who require them have access to controlled drugs in a timely fashion.

Regulations impose duties to safeguard the health and safety of persons who regularly use Display Screen Equipment as part of their normal work activity

The purpose of this policy is to provide information and guidance to Mersey Care NHS Trust directors, managers and staff on their responsibilities concerning health and safety at work. This policy applies to trust employees and anybody who is or may be impacted upon by work activities of the trust. The trust has a duty to ensure that all workplace risks are managed appropriately. This policy has been developed in line with guidance from the Health and Safety Executive. The scope of this policy applies to all activities and functions undertaken by, or on behalf of the Trust.

This procedure recognisest the responsibilities regarding asbestos within the Trust and will ensure, so far as reasonably practical, nobody using its premised or undertaking work within its premises shall be exposed to the risks arising from exposure to asbestos

This policy has been developed to describe the responsibilities of employees and organisation for the recognition and prevention of abuse and clarify the actions to take when abuse is suspected or identified.

This policy sets out guidance for the use of chaperones during procedures that should be in place for clinical consultations, clinical examinations, investigations and clinical interventions, particularly in relation to intimate procedures.
