Please can we remind all teams and services to refer any media enquiries through to the Trust’s Communications Team, who will deal with the request on your behalf. The Communications Team have the professional expertise to identify key messages to ensure Mersey Care’s services are promoted factually in all interviews and can evaluate whether a media enquiry could be a reputational risk for the Trust.

Before any interview requests are granted, the Communications Team must also get permission in advance from NHS England and Improvement at regional and national level as the NHS is still regarded as being at a Level Three incident level following the COVID-19 pandemic.
