Training on providing psychological input through interpreters or with asylum seekers

The Trust has commissioned a series of one day, face to face training workshops for people delivering psychological interventions to either non-English speakers or to asylum seekers/refugees.

Working through interpreters adds a layer of complexity to the delivery of assessments and talking therapies and many psychological professionals find this difficult. This training day aims to provide an opportunity to learn about the asylum process (and how this can often complicate the delivery of talking therapies) and to practice skills in working through interpreters.
