Pride is a celebration of people coming together in love and friendship, to show how far LGBTQ+ rights have come, and how in some places there's still work to be done.

LGBT+ stands for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender. The + is an inclusive symbol to mean 'and others' to include people of all identities.

Pride month is about acceptance, equality, celebrating the work of LGBTQ+ people, education in LGBTQ+ history and raising awareness of issues affecting the LGBTQ+ community.

St Helens Pride

The Talking Therapies team had a stall at St Helens pride where they had useful conversations with stakeholders and those in attendance.

Sefton Pride

Sefton Pride was held on Saturday, 15 June.

The rain couldn’t stop our staff from enjoying Sefton Pride.

Victoria Park in Southport had a great turnout for the event from the community and organisations including our Sefton Long COVID Service.

We had a march through Southport, had a stall inside a marquee where we painted faces and gave goodies out (kids loved the whistles).

There was lots of entertainment including the batala drummers, singers, dancers, and a drag act.
