Continuing our series highlighting best practice in working with ex-armed forces but we can’t help ex-armed forces to access specialist help and voluntary sector resources if we don’t know who they are. Our Local Division has demonstrated best practice by setting an ambitious target to increase the identification of veterans and are regularly monitoring their progress. Work on this is ongoing but the number of service users with their veteran status recorded on RiO has increased exponentially and many more veterans have been referred to specialist services or been helped by veteran voluntary sector organisations as a result.
