The Ability First Network celebrates its first birthday today (15 December).
The network is open to all staff members and Trust volunteers who have a disability, long term condition or who are carers.

- Launch of the ‘Health Passport’
- The establishment of disability buddies
- Producing and sharing Trust wide information on neuro diverse conditions and the small changes teams can make to be more neuro diverse friendly
- Working with Lexic to produce an action plan to make the Trust more inclusive to colleagues who have dyslexia
- Working with IT and communication colleagues to support inclusive digital notice boards
- Working with estates colleagues to ensure that any work commissioned in work places takes into account any staff members with a disability
- Having a say regarding Trust polices
- Feeding back on new Trust IT systems
- Having a safe space for colleagues to celebrate the great things about working for the Trust and also the things we wish to influence, challenge and change.
