Vaccinations
All Mersey Care staff are invited to keep up to date with their vaccinations by attending one of our clinics.
Vaccines take approximately two weeks to provide the required immune response.
If you’re reading this and asking yourself, ‘should I get vaccinated this year?’ my answer would be 100% yes. Vaccines, as always, remain our best protection against diseases.
Here are three things you should know:
-
Vaccines teach your immune system how to create antibodies that protect you from disease.
-
It’s much safer for your immune system to learn this through vaccination than by catching the disease and treating it.
-
The sooner you get vaccinated the better. Vaccines take approx. two weeks to provide the required immune response – so think ahead!
Most importantly, doing what you can to stay fit and well this winter not only protects you, but your family, our patients and service users, and each other.
Don’t wait until viruses peak, boost your immune system now.

How well do you know your vaccine trivia?
Vaccines have saved more human lives than any other medical invention in history. There is a lot of speculation around vaccines and finding credible resources can be challenging so we want to change the narrative and focus on facts.
