It is a statutory duty for employers to carry out suitable and sufficient risk assessments where significant risks may occur from their work activities. This document provides guidance to managers on how to asses risk and how to complete a risk assessment.

During the COVID-19 outbreak the Trust took the decision to suspend the routine review of policy documents, although changes were made when necessary. Users are asked to note that the review date on any policy document is advisory and that all policy documents remain live / valid whilst they remain on the Trust’s website. The routine review of policies has now been resumed by the Trust in a prioritised manner.
Readers are asked to note that when reading policy documents if they come across the job title ‘Chief Operating Officer’, this should now be read as ‘Directors of Operations / Divisional Director’
