Consultation Launch Presentation
The consultation process is designed to support you going from a seven day working pattern to five days in line with other planned therapy services.
Formal consultation starts on 4 October for a period of 30 calendar days.
Consultation will end on 5 November 2024.
Purpose of the consultation period is to inform yourselves of the proposed changes, listen to your views and discuss any concerns with you.
During this time you can if you wish request an individual consultation meeting to discuss any issues that may be worrying you.
We have been given a list of all your details from pay roll of your start dates – we will cross check details with you all to make sure we have the right information to support you fully.
In line with the organisational change policy - current flexible working requests will continue and will be reviewed as part of the engagement process. Plus, new flexible working requests will be considered as a result of working days changing.

HR19 - Organisation change Policy APPENDIX 2 - PAY PROTECTION states:
Pay Protection Band A
- Applies to all colleagues employed on 31 October 2011
- Pay band protection for 24 months and 12 months protection for regular additional earnings.
Pay Protection Band B
- Applies to all colleagues who commenced employment after 31 October 2011
- 0 to 1 year’s’ service - pay band protection for contractual notice period
- 1 year plus - pay band protection for 12 months
Colleagues who transfer in from other NHS Trusts or Non-NHS providers:
Any colleagues who TUPE transfers into the Trust from another NHS employer, was in NHS employment on 31 October 2011 and has remained in continuous NHS employment up to the date of transfer will have Band A pay protection.
Any colleague who TUPE transfers into the Trust from another NHS employer, and was not in NHS employment on 31 October 2011, or has a break in continuity of NHS service of more than 12 months prior to transfer will have Band B pay protection.
Any colleague who TUPE transfers into the Trust from a non-NHS employer and transfer onto Mersey Care Policy will have Band B pay protection.
Any colleague who TUPE transfers into the Trust and brings with them contractual policies will have the associated pay protection applied within those policies. The North West Boroughs pay protection policy did not transfer with staff therefore the Mersye Care policy applies.
The policy does not support protection for regular additional earnings for staff who fall under Section B.
