An email from My NHS Pension (mynhspensionnoreply2@nhsbsa.nhs.uk) is being sent to staff to share information around registering for the online portal for members of the NHS Pension Scheme. This is a valid email and has been verified with IM.

My NHS Pension is in the early stages of development, which means we're continuing to develop and add to the features currently available.

Registration to My NHS Pension is currently only available to selected users. We're continuing the roll out of onboarding to My NHS Pension, and other members will be contacted once they're also able to register.

The NHS Pension Scheme member groups we are currently inviting to register are:

  • non-ESR active members
  • non-ESR deferred members
  • pensioners who claimed benefits since 2015, excluding child dependents
  • active members who have access to ESR (this group is being onboarded in stages by region).

If you are not in one of these member groups, we'll contact you once you’re also able to register for My NHS Pension. ESR users can still access their Total Reward Statement (TRS) via ESR.

This is what the email looks like:

Dear ,

You can now register for My NHS Pension.

My NHS Pension is our new, secure online portal for members of the NHS Pension Scheme, which lets you view and manage your NHS pension online.

If you are an actively contributing or deferred member of the NHS Pension Scheme, on My NHS Pension you can:

  • View a copy of your Annual Benefit Statement (ABS)
  • See the personal details we hold for you
  • View your salary history and service employments
  • Provide additional contact details such as a personal email address
  • Add and amend your nominations

If you are in receipt of pension benefits and no longer contributing to the Scheme, on My NHS Pension you can:

  • View details of your pension benefits
  • See the personal details we hold for you
  • View digital copies of your monthly payslips and P60s
  • Provide additional contact details such as a personal email and phone number
  • Update your bank details
  • Add and amend your nominations

My NHS Pension is in the early stages of development, which means we are continuing to develop and add to the features currently available.

Registration to My NHS Pension is currently only available to selected members. This means some members won’t have been contacted yet. We’ll contact them once they’re also able to register for My NHS Pension. Registering for My NHS Pension does not affect the current P60 or payslip processes for members in receipt of benefits. We will notify you when this changes.
