Professor Nic Wilson, Professor Dan Joyce, Assistant Chief Executive Alison Walshe and Chief Executive Officer Joe Rafferty were given a tour of our new suite by Consultant Psychiatrist at the service, Richard Barnes.

The team developing training on self harm support want to share news of a great partnership with a community forensic service user: bringing lived experience into the design stages for the first time.

In response to increased demand on Mersey Care’s Section 136 suites, to reduce inpatient admissions, avoid delays and help to speed up mental health processes, the Mental Health Triage Response Team was set up at the end of October 2023.

Community mental health services asked staff if they’d like to volunteer to work over a seven day period to help support our service users care and reduce crisis presentations and attendance at A&E.

We have been asked by the Department of Health and Social Care to develop a dashboard to support the early identification of patient safety indicators on a mental health ward.
