A research team based at the University of Warwick are conducting a study on the treatment of anxiety among autistic adults with moderate to severe learning disabilities.

They are conducting a national survey to help understand treatment as usual for autistic adults with moderate to severe learning disabilities as well as problems with anxiety.

The team are looking for health or social care professionals working within services providing care to autistic adults (defined as aged older than 16 years) with moderate to severe learning disabilities in the UK to participate in the survey.

The survey should take between 10 and 45 minutes. It will ask you about treatments that your service offers to autistic adults with moderate to severe learning disabilities who have problems with anxiety. If your service currently does not provide any treatment for anxiety, they would still like you to complete the survey.

You will be able to choose to complete the survey online or in the form of an interview over the phone or on Microsoft Teams.

The survey is part of a larger study about the treatment for anxiety for autistic adults with moderate to severe learning disabilities. The information from the survey will help the team to understand what support and treatments are routinely offered to this population and inform future research.

The project is funded by the National Institute for Health Research.
