From the 1 July 2023 the Trust will implement PSIRF this will replace the current Serious Incident Framework (2015). To ensure we operate safely from this date senior staff will receive training on our planned systems based approach to explore learning and improvement from patient safety incidents. There will also be further training sessions on engaging those involved in incidents and on the oversight of our processes (if you have been already been invited for this key training please confirm your attendance to the patient safety team asap).
The patient safety team will be meeting with key divisional colleagues over the next few weeks to ensure we are fully prepared and ready to operate the processes aligned to PSIRF and further training for other groups of staff will follow in due course.
