Elderly, vulnerable people have been receiving scam calls from individuals claiming to be from the NHS to speak to them about their lifeline, advising them their lifeline is old and broken. The NHS will not ring about Lifelines /Telecare equipment or ask for personal or bank details. If there are any issues, Riverside, who provide the Telecare Service, will make arrangements for the equipment to be replaced.
