Liverpool and Knowsley community groups can access up to £5,000 funding to tackle organised crime.

Mersey Care, One Knowsley, Liverpool City Council, Knowsley Borough Council and Merseyside Police are working with local community groups and individuals to develop ideas for local projects within the community.

The next Community Cafe is at Court Hey Park, L16 3NA on Tuesday 9th May 2023. The cafe will begin at 9am with a Breakfast and networking session, followed by discussions and insights into the Community Café. Following this, there will be more time for coffee and networking until 12pm.

Those applying for the fund can be from either a voluntary or community group and can be based elsewhere but must benefit or be accessible to residents in the Dovecot, Longview, Yewtree, Huyton and immediate surrounding areas.

They must also ensure their bid has a connection to at least one of the following:

  • Reducing or addressing crime and anti-social behaviour
  • Protecting vulnerable people from becoming victims of crime and anti-social behaviour
  • Supporting victims of crime or anti-social behaviour
  • Tackling County Lines.

Successful applicants will be invited to attend the Live Now final participatory budget event on Saturday, 24 June 2023 where they will pitch their bid in a two-minute presentation to local residents, who will allocate funds for the projects they believe will have the biggest impact in their community.
