Next week, commencing 24 April 2023, the Trust will be hosting a series of sessions as part of Mersey Care’s Restorative Just and Learning Culture week.
The sessions are taking place to allow our workforce and key stakeholders to revisit and reflect on the Trust’s journey so far, and how things have changed since implementing a Restorative Just and Learning Culture in 2017. We will be taking time to celebrate our progress and successes, but will also be exploring and acknowledging where we still have work to do and what that work may look like. These sessions will also look to highlight the importance a Restorative Just and Learning culture has for both our staff and our patients.
How can I get involved?
- Patient Safety - Tuesday 25 April (10.30am to 12pm)
Join us at our Patient Safety session where we will share Mersey Care’s approach to patient safety and hear from Professor Suzette Woodward, an internationally respected patient safety expert who will be discussing the importance of a just culture approach to patient safety for both our staff and our patients. - Respect and Civility – Thursday 27 April (3.30pm to 5pm)
Join us at our Respect and Civility session where we will be re-launching the Trust’s new Civility and Respect Wheel and the HR41 Respect, Civility and Resolution Policy. Click here to join the meeting
- Stakeholder Event – Friday 28 April (9.30am to 1pm)
Book on to our face to face event at Maghull Health park to have your say on what our culture feels like now, what we want it to look and feel like going forwards, and how we enable the culture we want for Mersey Care. Places are limited so please email OrganisationalEffectiveness
In addition to the sessions taking place above, we are also encouraging all staff to complete a short survey so we can hear your views on how the Trust’s culture feels for you in your team, service, and division. Share your views on the survey or use the QR code below:
Your feedback is crucial to the development of the priorities for the next stage of our Restorative Just and Learning Culture at Mersey Care and we will be feeding back the key themes and what action we will be taking in June
