An amateur photographer, pictured, featured in one of our previous MC Magazines (see page 16 to 17) is raising awareness about psoriasis and appealing for support.
On her Just Giving page for The Psoriasis Association, Rebecca Redmond says: “Photography gave me my life back, but so did raising awareness of invisible illnesses through it. I started with landscapes and architecture, but when my psoriasis kept me housebound it restrained me to photography one day a week.”
Rebecca has been taking part in the #PsoActive29 which launched during Psoriasis Awareness Week on 29 October, calling on people living with the condition and well-wishers to pick any activity around the number 29 and complete their challenge by 29 November. Rebecca is writing 29 poems and posting them onto social media. The idea behind the campaign is to choose an activity that gets sufferers moving and doing something creative or meaningful.
