PSIRF is NHS response to developing and maintaining effective systems/processes for responding to patient safety incidents for learning and improving patient safety.
With implementation of PSIRF from 1 April 2023, we will be fully aligned to PSIRF for patient safety incident responses.
National priorities for review are mandated and we have identified our own local priorities for a systems based review, which we will use to learn and improve safety for our patients.
From recent workshops we agreed preferred tools from the national toolkit we will use where an incident(s) demonstrates an opportunity for learning and improvement. Guidance/briefings on toolkits will follow prior to PSIRF launch in April 2023. For more information, visit YourSpace.
