The Trust launched the Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF) on 1 July 2023. PSIRF is a key part of the NHS Patient Safety Strategy and aims to help the NHS to improve its understanding of safety.
The four key aims of PSIRF are:
- Compassionate engagement and involvement of those affected
- A system based approach to learning
- Considered and proportionate responses
- Supportive oversight focussed on strengthening our response systems and improvement.
