The Curzon Road District Nurse team completed the Star Trek 10km walk on 17 September, raising just over £500 for Queenscourt Hospice. The team completed the walk in memory of past, present and future patients of Curzon Road District Nurses and to support the local hospice who they work closely with.
Stephanie Buist, District Nurse, says “Patients and their families rely on services provided by the hospice to achieve the best possible quality of end-of-life care. Most of our patients make the decision to be at home surrounded by loved ones and therefore not only the patients but families benefit from the care provided by the hospice.”
