Following an extensive procurement exercise and a huge roll out plan, from 6 March 2023, staff working within clinical areas who are in receipt of their new uniform are expected to wear it whilst on duty. There may be times in the best interest of the patient/ service user that uniforms are not worn, please use your clinical judgment or speak to your line manager for advice if you are unsure.

Wearing uniforms will help our clinical staff to look more professional in appearance, improve infection, prevention, and control, instil a sense of pride in our work, and more importantly it will help our patients and service users easily identify which healthcare professional is providing their care.

We are aware that some staff have received uniforms which need to be exchanged, please do bear with us whilst we work through the changes required. Over the coming weeks, our next phase of the uniform roll out will focus on our medics and pharmacy colleagues.

If you want more information about our Uniform and Work Attire Policy it’s available to read on the website and YourSpace.
