Psychosis research symposium.jpgProf Nusrat Husain, Co-Director of the Mental Health Research for Innovation Centre (M-RIC), welcomed Mersey Care research staff and external experts to a psychosis research symposium at the Spine Building in Liverpool on Wednesday 12 July. He discussed M-RIC’s plans to research new ways to treat psychosis through new uses for existing medicines.

Prof Husain is also Mersey Care’s Director of Research and Innovation and Director of the Global Centre for Research on Mental Health Inequalities. He was joined at the event by speakers including Mersey Care Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist, Dr Inti Qurashi,  Professor of Psychiatry and Public Mental Health from Keele University, Saeed Farooq and Professor of Connected Mental Health at University of Liverpool and Consultant Psychiatrist at Mersey Care, Prof Dan Joyce.
