Across Mersey Care, men are our minority workforce. To increase the voice of our male colleagues, we are looking to establish a Men’s Staff Network. The purpose of the group will be to provide a space for male colleagues to come together as a support network and act as a critical friend of the Trust; helping to identify any barriers or challenges, which are prevalent to our male workforce, and share ideas and suggestions to increase the sense of inclusion and belonging for all colleague groups across our Trust.

It will also provide a chance to discuss what we do well as a Trust to support our male workforce and identify where we can build upon these positive measures. Last, but not least, it will provide an opportunity to meet and build relationships with other members of the male workforce across the wider Trust and share your experiences of being a male colleague within the NHS.

Meetings will be bi-monthly and will run for two hours – although you do not have to commit to the whole of the meeting and may attend in part…we appreciate how busy people are!

We hope that many of you will join us – if you would like to get involved, or to find out more, please contact: ashley.crosssland@merseycare.nhs.uk
