UK Health Secruity Agency NW.jpgThe UK Health Security Agency North West has recently identified a very small number of confirmed measles cases in the Greater Manchester area. They continue to monitor this and respond to the situation.

As a result, it is important that staff are aware of their Measles vaccine status/immunity (that they have received two MMR vaccines or Measles blood test confirming immunity) to assist in preventing illness and further transmission of the disease.

Over the coming weeks, Occupational Health and Wellbeing Service will be checking immunity status in priority order, based on risk identified with our Infection Control Team.

Please do not contact the team in the meantime unless you have exposure to a confirmed case.

We would advise staff to make sure they are up to date with their routine childhood immunisations.
