Due to the consultant industrial action on Thursday 20 and Friday 21 July, Clinical Microbiology will be running a Christmas day clinical service on these dates with respective potential delays and no consult service. For clinical advice, please contact them as usual, through LCL Customer Care. The laboratory will continue to run as usual.
LCL’s Microbiology department will be providing an On-call technical service between the hours of 20:00 Wednesday 20 July to 08:00 Thursday 21 July. This reflects a temporary change to the 24/7 service usually provided. Please note that only calls of an urgent nature/on-call queries will be processed on these days.
During this time processing requests only for Urgent fluids (CSF) should be directed to the switchboard who will contact the On-call BMS.
Registrar and Consultant cover remains unchanged.
