This month is Freedom to Speak Up month and we are highlighting the importance of colleagues feeling able to share any concerns they have either about patient care, or their experience as an employee.

The Freedom to Speak Up team are working with divisions to develop a network of Freedom to Speak Up champions who can help to ensure that people feel safe speaking up and know how to.

One of our Freedom to Speak Up Guardians, Jo Edmundson from Whalley, has set up a stand in the dining room to highlight the work of the guardians and the importance of speaking up, particularly in the first instance to managers and clinical leads, with the reassurance that the Freedom to Speak Up Guardians are there to support if needed.
