March's Employee of the Month winner is Ryan Lillie from Adult Community Hub (Moss House) - Liverpool. Ryan was nominated by Gary Hayes for the value of Enthusiasm.
Ryan has worked to an exemplary standard with some incredibly challenging service users across a wide range of mental health issues since joining Moss House CMHT approximately 12 months ago.
He has experienced some significant issues regarding service users who were previously under his care resulting in an SUI occurring that impacted on not only Ryan but the team as a whole. Ryan has not let this detract from his love for the role he is currently employed in within the team in any way, shape, or form, and has galvanised his resilience and drive to strive for improvements in all aspects of his role as a band 6 senior community nurse practitioner.
He has not allowed these challenges to diminish the enthusiasm and motivation that he has brought to the team during this time. His desire to improve individually and as a team is infectious and welcomed across the CMHT.
He has been highlighted as a beacon of excellent practice during this time and continues to strive for improvement in the care he provides for service users under his care both directly and indirectly across the team. As a result of Ryan and his impact on the team this has resulted in staff working alongside him, to also strive for improvements in their own practices.
No request for support or assistance is ever declined and he is always available to assist other team members across a wide range of professions and he is always willing to offer support and assistance.
March's Team of the Month winner is the Integrated Community Equipment Services (ICES). The team was nominated by Chloe Lee for the value of Support.
The lift in a patient’s property had broken and couldn't be repaired for at least 24 hours. The young girl is 19 and the family had no way of getting her upstairs safely and would have needed to go into respite.
The transport supervisor took a call from a senior member of staff and didn’t question anything and passed it onto two of the drivers who were on the 12pm to 8pm shift. When the staff arrived to move the bed, it wasn’t one of Mersey Care's so they came back to stores and got a scan bed and cot sides and set that up for the young girl so she could be kept safe and at home.
Without our staff the young patient would have required respite and would not have remained at home. Every day the team go above and beyond to provide such an amazing and vital service.
Without every single member of the team the service would not run as smoothly as it does. Our driver’s delivery equipment to patients, stores staff pick equipment and repair on site, Hygienists ensure that every piece of equipment has been decontaminated and our admin team receive requests and liaise with the whole of the team.
